Private-label dog dental & ear care

Two of the biggest "everyday health" niches — dog toothpaste and ear cleaning. Aimo makes both non-medicated: enzymatic, fluoride-free, xylitol-free toothpaste and a gentle liquid ear cleaner, spec-matched to your brand.

Everyday care, kept in the cosmetic lane

Dental and ear care are high-repeat, high-trust categories buyers love on their own-brand shelf — but they must stay non-medicated to onboard easily and to be safe for a pet that swallows toothpaste and has sensitive ears. Aimo formulates both without any medicated or drug actives, using food-grade and gentle cosmetic ingredients.

Everyday, high-repeat. Owners are told to brush teeth and clean ears regularly, which makes these quiet, dependable repeat-purchase SKUs. The key is keeping them genuinely swallow-safe and non-medicated — no fluoride, no xylitol, no drug actives — safe for a pet that licks and simple to onboard at retail.

The ear-care set — cleaner + wipes, one kit

The format that leads the category: a deep-clean liquid plus quick daily wipes, bundled as a set — a higher price point than a lone bottle, and we make both halves inside one group.

MOQ & samplesLiquids ~3,000 units · wipes ~10,000 packs per SKU; spec-matched sample in 7–10 days
Worth comparing carefully: published minimums in this category run from about 50 units to about 3,000. A 140-unit minimum and a 3,000-unit minimum are not the same product — the low figure is a stock formula in a stock bottle with your label on it, while 3,000 buys a compounding batch matched to a product you already sell, filled on a dedicated run.

FAQ

Sourcing questions

Is your dog toothpaste safe to swallow?
Yes — it is fluoride-free and xylitol-free, made with food-grade, swallow-safe ingredients (dogs don't rinse). Non-medicated, with no disease-treatment claims.
Is the ear cleaner medicated?
No — non-medicated, using witch hazel and aloe to loosen wax and debris. No chlorhexidine, ketoconazole or antibiotic actives; fragrance-free.
What flavors can the toothpaste have?
Palatable poultry or malt (dogs accept these well), or mint / unflavored — sweetened with stevia, never xylitol.
What is the MOQ?
Around 3,000 units per SKU for liquids — ear cleaner, toothpaste and dental gel. Ear and dental finger-wipes start around 10,000 packs per SKU. First runs are trial-friendly.
Can you match our current product?
Yes — send the item you sell today and we match the format, actives and pack, returning a sample with an indicative landed cost.

Dental finger-wipes: the SKU almost nobody contract-manufactures

Dog toothpaste is a crowded contract-manufacturing category. Dog dental finger-wipes are not, and the reason is structural rather than commercial.

In August 2026 we ran the sourcing search a buyer would run. Across the manufacturers most often named for pet oral care — Bo International, Naturo & Orgo, Lidercare, Nutrix USA, Cassco Bio Labs, FormuNova — we found published dog toothpaste and dental gel readily, and could not find a published dog dental finger-wipe. That is not a criticism of any of them: a toothpaste is compounded and tubed on a paste line, while a finger-wipe is a nonwoven converting job. They are two different factories.

Which is exactly why the format is scarce. A supplier has to run both a paste or liquid line and a nonwoven converting line to offer the toothpaste and the wipe together — and most pet contract manufacturers run one or the other. Aimo's group runs both, so a dental set can be developed together, quoted on one cost sheet and shipped on one timeline instead of being split across two suppliers.

Why the wipe sells alongside the tube, not instead of it

Owner compliance is the whole problem in pet oral care. A tube plus a brush is a two-minute task that a lot of owners quietly abandon; a finger-wipe is a fifteen-second one they will actually repeat. Brands that carry both typically use the wipe as the entry SKU and the repeat-purchase driver, and the toothpaste as the higher-margin follow-on. The wipe also travels — it is the SKU that goes in a bag, a car or a groomer's kit, where a tube does not.

Specification, in numbers

Dental finger-wipeTextured finger-mitt format sized for an adult index finger. 50 / 100 ct resealable pack, or four-side-seal single-wipe sachets — one wipe per sealed sachet, for travel packs and the professional groomer channel.
SubstrateSpunlace nonwoven, typically 40–60 gsm, converted on our group's own lines. Standard viscose/PET, or plant-based and chitosan options for a biodegradable story.
Toothpaste & gelFluoride-free and xylitol-free by design — both are standard requirements in pet oral care, and xylitol in particular is unsafe for dogs. Enzymatic systems available. Poultry, beef, mint and unflavoured.
Ear cleanerNon-medicated liquid in a directional-nozzle bottle, plus matching ear finger-wipes — the same one-group logic as the dental set.

What you may print on pet oral care, and what you may not

Oral care is where grooming brands most often drift into a drug claim without noticing, because the vocabulary of human dentistry is full of it.

Safe to print (cosmetic grooming)Do not print (creates a veterinary drug claim)
Helps remove food debris and soft plaque · freshens breath · daily cleaning routine · fluoride-free · xylitol-free · gentle textured surfaceTreats or prevents periodontal disease · removes tartar or calculus · antibacterial · kills plaque bacteria · cures bad breath · reverses gum disease

The distinction is not cosmetic pedantry: in the US, UK, EU, Australia and Canada the right-hand column moves the product into the veterinary-medicine lane and out of the low-barrier grooming lane your retail buyer is expecting. We build to the left-hand column and will flag artwork that drifts right.
